_ I would like to mention this quote:
“all disease has one of two causes: the genes or the environment (Table2). In general, the more sever the consequences of missing or faulty gene are, the rarer is the incidence. This is because those afflicted with a severely debilitating disease tend not to raise a family and therefore do not pass the gene on the next generation. This is particularly true of the diseases that lead to death before maturity. Such “bad" genes are maintained in the population only because they are passed on by carriers”

The process of our presentation

Our topic was English is not my native language. Our native language is Arabic. We had difficult time when we began learn our second language that is English. In that time we got trouble to learn because many thing which are; we did not know the differences between subject and verb agreement, sound the same, pronouns some words, and using verb tens. Learning a new language is not difficult. However, there are some rules in each language that's not the same as our language. What we really want to focus on is a grammar which is not as same as our language. Also, Pronunciation has many different sounds in English and how to use pronouns in writing and count and noncount nouns. We have discussed that in our group last Tuesday and we come up with many problems that we want to share it with the class.

First, we chose to do our presentation in PowerPoint. Then we were trying to see who will present the introduction. The student who says the introduction was Sultan. After that we were trying to find sources for the information which is about Subject and verb agreement, and sound the same. All the information that we found was in LEO that make it easy for us to find information. We find some information about Subject and verb agreement which is that subject and verb must agree in number: both must be singular, or both must be plural and we find some examples. In addition we found much information In LEO that talks about sound the same. We found that “A paper containing sentences of one short pattern bores both the writer and the reader for two reasons:

  1. Repetition of a single, simple sentence pattern draws attention to itself, not to the ideas in the paper.
  2. Simple, short sentences cannot show the reader the many relationships that exist among ideas of different importance”

Then we have our conclusion.

We were the first group who did the presentation. We were sharing the presentation each one have to say something. Our members group were Sultan alnawmasi, Tareq Alsomahi, and Abdulmohsen Alkahtani.

The main goal for this presentation that we did in class is to show students who their native language is not English. There is different between each language grammar and sound.  I hope that we have given enough information about our topic to the audience.  We would like to thank you for your attention.

Subject and verb agreement:
"The subject and verb must agree in number: both must be singular, or both must be plural. Problems occur in the present tense because one must add an -s or -es at the end of the verb when the subjects or the entity performing the action is a singular third person: hesheit, or words for which these pronouns could substitute.

Notice the difference between singular and plural forms in the following examples:"(1)

LEO Topic

My topic is going to be about My native language is not English. Learning a new language is not difficult. However, there are some rules in each language that's not the same as your language. what I really want to focus on is a grammar which is not as same as my language. Also, Pronunciation has many different sounds in English and how to use pronouns in writing and count and noncount nouns.

In Addition,

  • I want help in when to use an article- -a,an,the,or - what article to use.
  • I'm concerned about sentence structure and need to know more about where to place phrases in sentences

  • I confuse certain words in English:   much and many
  •                                                            no or not
  •                                                            who or whom

My best and worst Author.

     • My best author has a good skills in writing ,and the style of his writing is easy to understand. Also, the author makes you want to contenue reading the story. In addition, the author has made a
good topic sentence , a clear body paragraphs , and nice end in the conclusion.

  •    My worst author does not have the skills to writing a story. The author does not grab my attention to the story. Also, my worst story does not have a good grammatical structure. In addition, there is some sentence that does not have logical sense.  (1)"In an African old man's house I found a half-naked sculpture, the old man told me this sculpture recorded one of the oldest human civilization, at that time, human beings are the half..". The author does not make connection among himself and the reader.
